Another Inspirational Post for Whimsy Stamps

I'm back with another inspirational post for Whimsy Stamps using another May release by Kathryn Stamp Art Design called 'Lulu'. I started off using Chocolate Chip as my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Basic Grey collection called 'Out of Print' for the rest. I added 4 layers which I offset the last 3 after placing the first one down. I then sponge Olive Pastel and Rouge Fluid Chalk around the corresponding paper edges. I then cut out the frame using Joy 'Craft Dies - Rectangle Frame' and sponged Rouge Fluid Chalk along the edges. I printed Lulu onto shimmery white paper and colored her using Prismacolor pencils. I then cut out some grass using green glitter paper and Tim Holtz die called 'Tapered Fringe'. I popped the first grass onto the second using pop up dots. I also printed the sentiment that came with Lulu onto shimmery white paper and sponge Olive Pastel and Rouge Fluid Chalk along the edges. I added various  pink ribbons along with a bow all by May Arts.

Another Inspirational post for Whimsy Stamps and Die-Versions

Here is another card I did for Whimsy Stamps May New Release as well  I used this card for my Guest Designer spot for May at Die-Versions. It uses the image called 'Ahoy' by LiaStampz. I colored him by using my Prismacolor pencils and added some blue, green and red glitter for the waves, sail and flag. I started off using Island Indigo paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used 'Secret Admirer' by Kaisercraft for the rest. I added 2 layers before adding a third. For the third layer I took theses amazing dies from Die-Versions called 'Whispers -Sailing by' and adhered them to my third layer. Then I ran it thru an embossing folder by Sizzix called 'Animal   Prints' instead of running the paper thru vertical, I decided to run it thru horizontally to give the illusion of waves. I then sponge over top the raised areas using Teal Vivid ink by Clearsnap to show off my waves. I then took the Sailboat die and used my seldom use Shrinky Dinks using black & white to cut out my boat and shrink it down for embellishments. For the black boats I dusted them with Rangers Perfect Pearls to add some color using green and blue and left the white boat alone. I also added some red glitter to the flags of the sailboats as shown. I added some teal/chartreuse satin ribbon with a bow by May Arts.

Stamping with the Dragon - Use a Tag on your project or card

I'm back to show you my card for last week's challenge at Stamping with the Dragon. This week's challenge is to use a tag on your project or  make anything you wish, but the tag must be visible on it. So I decided to do a tag, so I started off using a blank manilla tag and I cut out a second tag using Tim Holtz 'Tag & Bookplates' using paper from the collection called 'Tattered Time stack by DCWV. I ran it thru a Tim Holtz embossing folder called 'Diamond Plate & Riveted Metal Set'. I sponged Chestnut Roan Fluid Chalk over the raised areas. I then used brown glossy gear paper and cut it out using Tim Holtz 'Gadget Gears'. I popped the gears up by using pop up dots. I then used the Vintage Garden Clock and you can find it here in the store; http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_414&products_id=1409

I printed the image onto a piece of acetate and coloured the image on the backside using metallic sharpies. I added some embossing ink by Ranger on 2 different areas of my tag to add some bling. I then added some aged gold & aged silver embossing powder which I heat set. Then added some bronze mica and gold halo glitter all by Stampendous. I added some light brown/dark brown satin ribbon by May Arts.

And that is it from us for this time. Now its your turn. Time to get crafting, and once your TAG creations are ready, dont forget to come back and link up to our challenge. The prize for the winner is a £5 voucher to the

Inspirational card for my Guest Designer Spot with Die-Versions for the month of May

Yeah! I'm showing off another card that I made for Die-Versions using again the XOXO Express Edges that I received for being a guest designer (Dynamo) for the month of  May. I started off using black metallic paper for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny's collection called 'Serenade' for the rest. I stamped the seed package from the set called 'Seed of Summer' by JustRite using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper and emboss using clear embossing powder. I also stamped the 'Top Quality' from the same stamp set on the seed package using black crafters ink and emboss using Pines Green embossing powder. I stamped 'Plants & Seeds using black crafter's ink and applied clear embossing powder, which lies underneath Top Quality sentiment. Again I stamped 'Seeds of Friendship' using black crafter's ink and emboss using burgundy embossing powder which is on the bottom of the seed package.  I then took out my Lindy's Stamp Gang Magicals using the following colors; Yellow Rose of Texas, Peony Scarlet Red and Lucky Shamrock Green to add some colours to the seed package. I then took the Poppies from a different stamp set called 'Botanical Medallions & Banners by JustRite to coincide with the Poppy paper that I used from Bo Bunny. Again stamped this using black crafter's ink onto shimmery white paper and colored them using Prismacolor pencils. I then added another Die-Versions die called Whispers- Big Butterfly to the left of the seed package cutting out using red metallic paper. I then added some double sided adhesive sheet to the butterfly so I could added some glitter to the butterfly wings using some transparent Ultra Fine glitter called 'Salmon'. I wasn't really happy with the red butterfly so I decide to add some black glitter to the body of the butterfly so it would show up more, which then lead to adding light green and dark green glitter to the leaves of the plant which the butterfly sits. I then added a bow using some gold metallic ribbon and then  cut out the new May release 'XOXO' using gold glitter paper.

Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge 53 - Anything but a card

First off I would like to offer my thoughts and prayers of those victims of the Moore, Oklahoma  tornado victims.  The news is horrific and I can't imagine what these poor folks are going through and will be going through in the days to come. We are sponsored by Saturated Canary this week!!!  We'd like to thank them for providing our design team with some fabulous images!

I used  Peacock Feathers, Seedles Preserves and Dusty Concord. I then overstamped using Tim Holtz distress stain called Salty Ocean uisng his stamp called chicken wire from the set called 'Mixed Media'.  For my image I chose 'Whispy' from Saturated Canary and colored her using my Prismacolor pencils. Another Inspirational Post for Whimsy

Here is another inspiration post for Whimsy Stamps using Dana's Digis called 'Stargazer Lily'. I love this flower for its fragrant smell as well as its vibrant colour. So I started off using Basic Grey as my base which is 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Bo Bunny collection called 'Isabella' for the rest. I added another piece of grey damask paper and then use 'Isabella' and just cut out the corner with flowers so that I can pop it up. I used another piece of shimmer sheetz 'Pink Iris'  by Elizabeth Crafts and used a  Spellbinders die 'Elegant Labels 4' to cut it out. I then ran the label thru a Craft Concepts Embossing Folder called 'Diamond Shadows' from the 5th Ave Glam Collection. I then added some Timber Brown and Fushia Pink Stazon ink to the embossed areas. I colored the Stargazer Lily using my Prismacolor Pencils and popped it up onto the embossed Label using foam tape. I added a sentiment from the Chipboard from the same collection and added some  pink/blue ribbon along with a bow by May Arts.

My first post for Guest Designer for Die-Versons and IT'S Release Night

This has been under wraps for awhile but I was asked to be a Guest Designer for Die-Versions for the month of May. Guess what! it's Release night for May and we are calling it "Trains, Planes and Automoblies." I was given 3 dies to play with and one of my dies was the cute little sailboat. So here is my card using the sailboat, I started out using Early Espresso for my base which is 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Nautical Expedition Designer Series Paper for the rest. I added 2 layers; a brown anchor paper and blue metallic paper. I then took red metallic paper and ran it thru an embossing folder called 'Square Lattice' along with a piece of blue metallic for the third layer. I added some Cherry Cobbler twine to blue embossed paper before attaching onto the red metallic paper.  I then used the stamp set that coordinates with the paper line to add some detail. I took the ledger stamp using Cherry Cobbler ink and stamped onto shimmery white paper. I then took my aqua painter because it was a dye base ink, it bled so it soften the Cherry Cobbler lines and added some blue using Night of Navy reinker to the mix. Again I took the ledger stamps using Early Espress and stamp 3 times onto shimmery white paper using 2 & 3 value. I then used sail boat stamp, to stamp a darker image onto the ledger paper. I then used my aqua painter to bleed the ink out and added some red, blue and brown ink to color the paper. I cut this out using scallop  punch. I added some blue and red ink along edges. I then used the Bon Voyage die from Die-Versions which you can find in the store here; https://www.die-versions.com/Sweet-Spots--Bon-Voyage_p_332.html using red metallic paper which I laid over top of my sail boat. I added a charm that I made using Bronze Utee and used the anchor stamp to stamp into the Utee. I hung it using Tim Holtz jump rings as shown. I cut out the sail boat by Die Versions from the new May release which you will find it here; https://www.die-versions.com/Whispers--Sailing-By_p_384.html using the brown achor paper. I then added another new die that is being release today called "XOXO" Express Edge which you will also find here; https://www.die-versions.com/Express-Edges--XOXO-Edge_p_373.html
We unveil our dies on the first Monday of the month.

Shelly's Images - TTT Challenge Theme - School's Out for SUMMER - Kid Theme Challenge

Well I'm back with another card for Shelly's Images and this was a first for me to be asked to do a Tuesday Tutorial for Shelly's Images. I saw this done by Els from Elizabeth Crafts where she uses her peel- offs, adds Sookwang tape, Warm Highlight Glitter and Copic Markers to colour her image. So I decided to see if this would work with a digital image that was printed onto acetate using the same method; Sookwang tape, Warm Highlight Glitter and Copic Markers which you can find the tutorial here; http://shellysimagesblog.blogspot.ca/2013/04/tutorial-tuesday-coloring-glitter-using.html
So here is how I made my card using Crumb Cake for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used Little Yellow Bicycle collection called 'Zach's Life' for the rest. I added 3 layers offsetting each layer. I then cut out a frame using  orange/grey paper and cut it out using a Spellbinders die called 'Lacey Tiers' that was part of the Becca Feeken 'February Kit' by Amazing Paper Grace. I cut the circle overlay using the die that came with the kit using blue paper from the same collection. I added a orange circle chipboard piece from the collection and then laid the boy with the bat on top using pop up dots. I added orange rhinestones on 3 corners of the frame and added various stickers that relate to baseball that I had in my stash.  I really hope you like the tutorial and will try it out!
