Loves Rubberstamps Design Day

Well I'm back with another Saturday inspirational post for Loves Rubberstamps this will be my last inspiration post for awhile. I will continue to participate with the Tuesday challenges, I decided that doing a second card will be too much and was going to step away but Laura begged me to stay. She graciously said she will take on Saturday posts for me while I try and get my real life organize. I know that  she will do an outstanding job with Saturday posts! With Easter just a day away, I'm doing another Easter card using Little Bunny Tilda by Magnolia. You can find Magnolia stamps in Laura's store here;  http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_403/Little-Easter-Collection-2013.htm I colored her using Prismacolor pencils and used Neon Flamingo glitter on her ears, stomach and on her foot as well as I used Fascination glitter on her bow all by Sparkle N Sprinkle.  So I started off using Soft Suede cardstock as my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I then used Authentique paper collection called 'Hope' for the rest. I love this paper line with it's soft colours of blues, creams and browns. I added 2 layers and then add a doily which I had punched out using Martha Stewart's Circle Edge punch. What a great tool to have if you like to make doilies. I then used a frame that I had already cut out from a previous card and just cut out another frame using Spellbinders 'Gold Labels Four' because the larger frame was too overpowering for my Tilda. I embossed the frame using a Cuttlebug embossing folder called 'Oriental Weave set'. I then took some white I Am Roses and sprayed them using a Starburst spray called Whale Watch Blue by Lindy's Stamp Gang. I then cut out a banner using a Spellbinder die that they made exclusively  for JustRite called 'Buntings and Button' using bronze corrugated paper. Laura does carry some Spellbinders dies and dies for  JustRite as well as, found here; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_72/Die-Cutting--Dies-Tools.htm I then used the sticker collection that came with paper pack and picked out different words to put on the banner which says 'Hippity, Hoppity, Bunnies, On It's Way'. I then added some Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon and bow.

An Inspirational post for Whimsy Stamps

Well I have another inspirational post for Whimsy Stamps, using this darling digital image by Kathryn Stamp Art Designs called 'Tulip Umbrella'. I added 2 layers before add a third paper which I ran thru Tim Holtz embossing folder called 'Bookcovers set'. I then used Yellow Cadmium and Tea Rose inks to sponge over the embossed areas. I then placed the umbrella inside the circle using pop up dots. I colored the umbrella using Prismacolor pencils. I added some Dazzling Pink glitter to the tulips and Laser Green glitter all by Sparkle N Sprinkle to the flowers on the umbrella. I printed the sentiment from Ari & Toby again from Kathryn Stamp Art Designs onto shimmery white paper and cut it out using Modern label punch by Stampin' Up. Again I sponged Yellow Cadmium and Tea Rose ink to tone down the white paper. I cut out a label using Spellbinders die called 'Radiant Rectangles' using Rose paper from the same collection. I added some pink flourishes using pink glitter paper and  a Cheery Lynn die called 'Fanciful Flourish'.  I added some Melon Mambo scallop dot ribbon along with a Red Rose bow using seam binding ribbon all by Stampin 'Up. Stamping Dragons Card Challenge - It's a Dogs Life

Well it's my turn to show you my card for Stamping Dragons Card Challenge that started last week - It's a Dogs Life. So I started off using Early Espresso for my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I used an old Karen Foster Scrapbooking kit for Dogs for the rest of my papers. I added 2 layers before using Canvas Corp burlap that I cut down and frayed the edges a little. I used the image Poorly Puppy from Stamping Dragons store which you can find here; http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_404&products_id=883
I colored him using Prismacolor Pencils and cut him out leaving a little halo. I used this sticker that looks like a dog's collar which came with scrapbooking kit as a frame. I attached him to a piece of dog vellum paper which I had on hand. With the dog's collar frame I attached another sticker that said 'Friends Fur-ever' using a Tim Holtz jump ring to make it look realistic; like an actual dog's collar. I added some real life band-aids plus the wrapper and used the alphabet given in the kit to write "Poor Guy". I added some paw stickers again from the same kit and matted them onto some bronze corrugated paper.

Stamping with the Dragons Card Challenge - Anything Goes!

I'm back with another card for Stamping with the Dragon challenge this week is 'Anything Goes'.  A couple of weeks ago, Janette, the owner asked me if there was anything I would like to see in her store. I told her my son was turning 18 years old in a couple of week and he likes snakes. He actually has a baby ball python. So she came up with one snake design which I told her it was too whimsy for my son. So she went back to the drawing board and came up with this one! What a cutie or not! You find him here in the store; http://dragonslairdesigns.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=403_404&products_id=3087 So I colored him using my Prismacolor pencils. I started off with copper metallic paper  and then use a bronze metallic paper for the first layer. My son is into orange, he wears everything orange, his room is orange and has these orange crocs that he wears all summer long. So I kept this card practically all orange. So the next 2 layers are orange from Bo Bunny. I then cut out a square frame using copper metallic paper and Marianne Creatables Die 'Square Frame'. On top of this I cut out another frame using another Marianne Creatables die called 'Anja's Square' using copper/white metallic paper by Anna Griffin. I cut out the frame using a smaller die from the same die using again Copper paper. I popped up the snake using pop up dots. I cut out leaves using a Marianne die called 'Mistletoe' using brown glitter paper. I added some copper netting along with a orange white dot ribbon on top of that. I used a stamp that said 'Happy Birthday' using black pigment ink and used Orange Twinkle embossing powder by Judikins. I also added a Prima Marketing brown bling flourish.

Loves Rubberstamps Card Challenge - Anything Goes!!

Well I'm back with another card for Loves Rubberstamps and this week's challenge is Anything Goes! So I started off using Crumb Cake as my base which is a 5"x 7" finished card size. I just received the newest paper pack from Tim Holtz called 'French Industrial' and I also used some old paper pack by Tim Holtz called 'Shabby Chic'. I alternated between newest collection with oldest. I then used the one of the newest Spellbinders die called 'Radiant Rectangles'. On top of this I cut out another frame using another new die called 'Gold Labels Four'. With the papers that I used and I used this stamp set called the 'Eiffel Tower Collage by Sweet Pea Stamps which you can find here: http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_304/Collage-Stamps.htm so I decided to make my own background paper. So I used the following colors; Cobblestone, Taupe by Vivid and Rouge Fluid Chalk all by Clearsnap. I just stamp each colour using my stamp as my applicator until there was no more ink. Then I sponged in more colour using my white foam tips & using the same colours. Then I took a background stamp and over stamped using a white pigment ink. I heat set my paper using a hot iron. I then used my stamp using black pigment ink and embossed using black EP and stamped onto my colored background paper. I added a sticker from Tim Holtz 'French Industrial' Salvage Stickers. I added 'Greetings' using a JustRite Stamp set called 'Seeds of Summer' using black crafter's ink and black EP. I then took a couple of Tim Holtz markers a pink and a green to color in the roses and leaves. You find some JustRite and Tim Holtz product's here in the store; http://www.lovesrubberstamps.net/category_307/JustRite-Papercraft.htm And I finished it off using some pink ribbon.
